Ayurveda management of Recurrent Ischiorectal Abscess with Horseshoe connection - A case report

Anorectal abscesses are one of the potentially debilitating diseases among them perianal abscess and ischiorectal common. Lateral spread through conjoint tendon leads to a horseshoe abscess. Surgical treatment is incision drainage. Complications include sepsis, faecal incontinence, fistula in ano. Kshara sutra proved effective for ano, which helps preventing recurrence. Here we report case with connection came swelling pain over right region. The condition was diagnosed as guda vidradi (perianal abscess) per Ayurveda classics, Bhedana karma considered primary treatment. Considering recurrence chronicity, kshara ligation planned after karma. completely cured minimal follow-ups. Post-operative wounds healed scar formation. Adoption has given successful results management
